1. How do I install Tinker 5 to utilize multiple processors?
2. For Tinker 6, does one need to install the proprietary Intel fortran compiler ($360 academic) in order to utilize multiple processors?

I don't believe you need the Intel compiler to parallelize Tinker. You should be able to compile it with GCC, which should support OpenMP.

But the Intel Fortran compiler is actually very good, and well worth the money.
