I am trying to [quickly/easily] bond 3 benzene rings to make anthracine without deleting multiple atoms in each benzene rings and adding bonds/adjusting bond angles/lengths.

Am I missing something simple? Google isn't turning anything up.

I would just draw the 3 fused ring system (just the carbon atoms) and use the 'cleanup' feature.
