GAMESS distributions dated later than Dec 12 2003 will do not work with WebMO 4.0.008 unless the following patch is applied, due to a change in the command line arguments for ddikick.exe. The following simple change will allow WebMO to work with these GAMESS distribtutions.

Find a make a backuo copy of the run_gamess.cgi file located in the WebMO/cgi-bin directory. Open the file in a text editor and change the line begining

exec($gamessGMSPATH...)

to

exec("$gamessGMSPATH/$gamessDdikick $gamessGMSPATH/$gamessBinary $input_file -ddi 1 1 $host -scr $jobScratch");

(The above should be one line; it is long so it may word wrap.)
